For the last seven years Julian Sedgwick has been interviewing and photographing inspirational survivors and community rebuilders on Japan's North East coast - collecting tales of trauma, resilience and healing that inspired his books Tsunami Girl and Tokyo Ghost Cafe.
Where Hope Resides tells some of the true stories behind those books, meeting people whose lives changed dramatically on March 11th 2011, and exploring how they then set about rebuilding not just their own lives, but the communities around them.
